Mile High Comics Thunder Monkey #1 Exclusive Variant cover to feed homeless in Denver

I am offering up Thunder Monkey #1 to feed the homeless in Denver. In collaboration with Bob Conway and the owner of Mile High, Chuck, there is available an exclusive Mile High variant cover with all proceeds going directly to feed people in need. If you missed the kickstarter, here's your chance to get a copy of the book. And if you helped fund the kickstarter, you get an extra thanks for making this charity possible.

Why help the homeless?  I believe that we should take care of our sick and needy.  Mental illness is a big part of it, and until we can better understand how to better help our sick, this is one thing we can do.  I don't think I'd last one night sleeping on a sidewalk in the Colorado winter.  I certainly wouldn't choose to sleep there.

The Canadian War Museum in Ottawa has an incredible larger than life comic book exhibit featuring my art.  It's larger than anything I've ever seen in San Diego, Angoulême or even the museums in Brussels.  Personally I think it merits recognition in the sequential art community.  You can see footage of the exhibit at the link here:

THUNDER MONKEY is live on Kickstarter!

Thank you to all those who made the Thunder Monkey Kickstarter campaign a success. Not only did you make my dream come true, but as an unplanned offshoot, Thunder Monkey became a fundraiser for the homeless of Denver.  I can't express my gratitude enough.

Avengers Pencils by Lee Oaks inks by Kevin Nowlan Black Panther Vision Wasp Thor Captain America Hawkeye Iron Man Giant Man Quicksilver - Civil War movie roster

Avengers - Pencils by Lee Oaks inks by Kevin Nowlan.  Black Panther, Vision, Wasp in their evergreen versions.  Civil War movie roster plus or minus a few.  Kevin's masterful inks show my weak spots.  I'm honored that he didn't throw the whole thing out and redraw it.  His talent is undeniable, such a thrill to see his inks on my work.

Work for Canadian WW1 Museum

I recently picked up inking digitally.  It enables me to produce lines that remind me of Andre Juillard and Floch.  I thought this project would be perfect for a clear line European style.  Time was limited so I budgeted 2 hours per page for rough pencils, and did the perspective during the inking stage.
